Serious medication would have done wonders for that girl. Either that or getting spanked when she was getting unruly as a pre-teen.

Terra was a valid argument for juvenile corporal punishment.

^ Err, she begins having doubts *before* the Titans show up, if her flashbacks are anything to go by. My reading of Terra was always as someone who really doesn't think her actions through that well at all- while fighting the Titans she got carried away by her anger towards them, and then after she cooled off started to remember the times that they'd been nice to her. The fear didn't really kick in until the Titans actually *did* show back up. Basically, I think Terra's a wreck of out-of-control emotions, which leads to her being very easy for Slade to manipulate.

I agree with your essential summary of Terra's nature and temperament, but I'm inclined to be less charitable towards a moral assessment of her. "I didn't think about it" might explain purchasing something on the home shopping network or taking your boyfriend to a Chipendale club. When it comes to several separate cases of attempted murder, then yeah, she doesn't think out the consequences of her actions, but that's not all there is. Her ethics are defined by the convenience of the moment, and she's still responsible for the consequences of those actions whether she thinks them through or not.

*Provoking Raven’s demon side could have gone *horribly* wrong for Terra, as while it does cloud her thinking it also usually comes with a big power-boost. Terra’s lucky she didn’t get the Dr. Light treatment.

I personally had no problem with that scene.

I rank that as one of the best fight scenes of the whole series.

I felt a little nostalgic today so I decided to watch a few Teen Titans episodes (:

One of the first things that popped into my mind when I first saw Terra was why is she wearing toilet paper? Anyways, I absolutely hated Terra after this episode. The fight between Terra and Raven was epic-ly awesome, except for the fact that Raven lost.
